Alex Karp Says Neurodivergent Workers Will Win in AI

Alex Karp named neurodivergent people and trade workers as the AI era's winners. The edge is not the brain. It is running several AI jobs at once.

30+ YEARS DIGITAL STRATEGY

The two groups

Alex Karp, the CEO of Palantir, put it plainly on the podcast TBPN in March 2026.

There are basically two ways to know you have a future. One, you have some vocational training. Or two, you're neurodivergent.

He went on to describe the second group as "more of an artist, look at things from a different direction, be able to build something unique."

I have ADHD. When I heard that, it did not read like encouragement. It read like an instruction.

Most owners file a line like that under interesting and move on. The useful move is to ask what those two groups do differently, and whether you can do it on purpose.

Why does AI save everyone else time and not me?

Because you are running it one question at a time.

One tab. One question. One answer. Back to the same week.

That is AI as a search box. It is a better search box than the one you had. It will not change your output, because it still runs at the speed of you typing one question and waiting for one answer.

How many AI tabs should you run at once?

I run four to five, on the biggest screen I can get.

I take screenshots. I have AI running while I watch other AI programs I am running, and builds I am running.

I get more done in a day than most people get done in a week. That is my own count from my own work, not a study.

This is not multitasking

Here is the distinction the whole thing rests on. A question ends the moment the answer arrives. A job keeps running while you go start the next one.

Multitasking is doing four things yourself. This is not that. Every one of those tabs is a job that is already running.

AI work has dead time built into it. You send a task, then you wait. On one tab, that wait is you sitting there. On five, it is the other four moving.

The screen is what makes it possible. You cannot supervise five running jobs through one laptop window, one at a time.

Set it up this week

1. Get more screen

Not a better laptop. More surface. You cannot watch what you cannot see.

2. Put jobs in flight, not questions

A question comes back in seconds and ends. A job runs while you go start another one.

3. Screenshot instead of re-explaining

Show the AI the thing. Typing a description of what is already on your screen is time you are spending for no reason.

4. Stop waiting on a single tab

The moment you catch yourself watching one answer generate, go start the next job.

5. Count a day against your old week

If the day does not beat the week, the setup is wrong, not you.

If you are neurodivergent

You have spent your working life being told your attention is the problem. In a one-tab job, it was expensive. In a workday built on several running jobs, tracking all of them is the work.

That is the part worth sitting with. The thing you have been managing around is the thing this setup rewards.

What this does not mean

It does not mean the setup replaces knowing what you are doing. Five tabs of bad instructions produce five bad outputs faster. It also does not mean Karp's line is a rule for every occupation. It is one CEO's read on who adapts fastest, and it matched my own experience closely enough to say out loud.

The decision

Stop running AI one question at a time. Give yourself the screen, put several jobs in flight, and measure a day against the week it used to take.

If you are neurodivergent, which I've ADHD or you have vocational training. Alex Karp, the CEO of Palantir, an AI company, said that that's the way to go. Those are the people that are going to excel in the future of AI. So how are you going to do it? You get the biggest freaking screen. You can open up as many different tabs as you can. I have 4 to 5 at a time. I'm taking screenshots, keeping AI, watching other AI programs I'm doing, and builds that I'm doing. And I guarantee you I get more done in a day than most people get done in a week. I'm Jeff Fargo. I can help you streamline and scale with AI. Go forth.
