Stop Rereading That Contract. Make AI Pull What Matters

How do I stop rereading the same contract?

Hand it to AI and ask for four things: the decision, the risk, the best way forward, and the source behind each answer. Then check the sources before you act.

The problem is not the reading. It is the rereading. A long contract, an email thread that keeps growing, a proposal with more than one version. You go back in hunting for the three things that matter, and you go back in again the next time it comes up.

Why does rereading eat so much of your day?

Because the few things that matter are buried in pages that do not. Every pass through the document costs about as much time as the last one, and none of those passes moves the decision forward.

What should you ask AI for?

1. The decision

What does this document actually ask me to decide?

2. The risk

What in here could cost me money, time or leverage?

3. The best way forward

Given the decision and the risk, what is the best next step?

4. Sources for everything

Quote the exact section behind each answer.

Why do the sources matter?

A source check means opening the exact section AI quoted and confirming it says what AI claims it says.

That check takes minutes. Rereading the whole document takes much longer. If the sources pan out, the sorting is done. If one does not, you caught the problem before it cost you anything.

What this does not mean

It does not mean AI makes the call. The judgment stays with you. AI does the sorting so your judgment goes to the part that matters.

It also does not replace your attorney on a contract with real legal exposure. It gets you into that conversation knowing what to ask.

The decision

Pick the document you have opened the most times this week. Hand it over, ask for the four things, check the sources. Then decide.

Verbatim from the Fargo Walks clip, as recorded.

You're rereading the same crap, a long contract, an email thread, a proposal, and you're searching for the three things that matter. Stop it. Give it to AI. Ask it for the decision, the risk, and the best way to move forward, and sources for everything. Check the sources. The sources pan out, then AI's done all the sorting for you. The judgment is still up to you to use it to move forward, and you save yourself a bunch of time. I'm Jeff Fargo. I can help you streamline and scale with AI. Go forth.
